Ashaa Initiative — Student Prevention
Healthy Students — A Drug-Free Society

Enabling education and training environments to build an integrated prevention system that protects students from substance use, following the internationally accredited SPF methodology and Islamic principles.
Five integrated training programs — for students, teachers, and counselors

My Smart Friend — Primary School Prevention Program
Primary school students (Grades 2–6)
A comprehensive program in a child-friendly and engaging style that builds awareness of the value of the mind, the importance of good friends, honoring parents, maintaining prayer, and honesty, and warns them — in age-appropriate language — about the dangers of smoking, intoxicants, and drugs. Each session includes activities, games, coloring, and short stories.
The Student's Role in Prevention Program
Middle school, high school, and university students (male and female)
An interactive program designed specifically for students to build their awareness of the sanctity of the mind and the dangers of drugs on mental and psychological health, and to train them in effective skills: resisting peer pressure, choosing friends wisely, refusing substance use, time management, and self-awareness. Based on Afaq Prevention guides and United Nations UNODC references.
The Teacher & Trainer's Role in Student Prevention Program
Teachers and trainers at all educational levels and training environments
A comprehensive professional program that qualifies teachers and trainers for their role as the first guardians of student prevention. It provides advanced knowledge of substance abuse risks and addiction science, builds student awareness about the dangers of smoking and first-time use, and trains teachers on gaining student trust, detecting early indicators, and implementing a weekly classroom prevention plan.
The Student Counselor's Role in Student Prevention Program
Student counselors, psychological and social specialists in schools and universities
A professional program that qualifies school counselors to fulfill their four major roles: prevention, containment, counseling, and intervention. Built on the Student Counselor and Specialist Guide for Student Prevention accredited by Afaq, it covers risk factors, signs of substance use, characteristics of addiction as a disease, and skills for containing cases and activating the family's role.
Planning for Prevention in Education & Training Environments
School and university leaders, education administration supervisors, school prevention program planners
A practical program that builds the capacity of educational leaders to design comprehensive prevention plans for education and training environments following the SPF model. It connects school administration, teachers, counselors, students, and parents, and enables the creation of measurable drug-free school policies.
